Tested to OSHA requirements, the criteria for WISAblock testing (View Testing Video) was to drop an 18 stone punchbag from a height of 2m and 3m directly onto 4-2 timber held in position by two rows of WISAblock’s positioned 1.5m apart.
Timber covered reinforced steel starter bars at 165mm centres. Starter bars used, ranged from 10mm – 16mm – 32mm using two types of plastic WISAblock to record comparisons.
Summary of testing is that WISAblock performed extremely well during testing withstanding direct impacts from 18 stone punchbag. Steel starter bars failed to penetrate WISAblock or timber suspended above uncovered starter bars.
